Honours/Masters/PhD candidates (Indigenous applicants only)
The END RHD CRE is seeking Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals to conduct Higher Degree Research relating to the field of acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and RHD. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians live with an unacceptably high burden of RHD, and the END RHD CRE was established to unify various RHD-related research activities, to build networks and capacity in the field, and with a singular vision to produce the Endgame Report and Strategy for ending RHD as a public health issue in Australia.
Currently, a number of research projects are being conducted under the CRE, including but not limited to, the fields of epidemiology, bioscience, economic modelling, the lived experience of RHD, evidence translation, and advocacy. The CRE’s Indigenous Scholarship Scheme forms part of the CRE’s commitment to building capacity and developing capabilities for Indigenous students and researchers, and welcomes Indigenous applicants to apply for funding support to conduct Higher Degree Research in one of the topic areas outlined above.
