2016 IAHA National Professional Development Forum
IAHA has held it’s bienniel National Professional Development Forum for 2016 in Canberra, ACT. The forum attracted over 200 delegates and included IAHA members, academics, government representatives, stakeholders and the corporate sector. The delegates attended informative workshops, a panel discussion, attended and celebrated the IAHA National Awards at the gala dinner and were witness to the 2017 IAHA Student HealthFusion Team Challenge Final showdown.
The forum was preceeded by a workshop on embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in health curricula. The workshop was facilitated by Professor Kerry Arabena, with her delivery urging participants to look at holistic life course approaches to develop a community response to health and wellbeing.
