IAHA, a national member-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health organisation, is a not-for-profit organisation and endorsed charitable institution and seeks to provide opportunities for sponsorship participation.

IAHA is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), the independent national regulator of charities, and has deductable gift recipient (DGR) status. IAHA is dedicated to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians through promoting allied health careers, building the allied health workforce and further education and leadership development of Indigenous allied health professionals.

Donation

IAHA greatly appreciates all offers of assistance or recognition in the form of untied financial donations and/or gifts and accepts to give appropriate consideration to all such offers. We acknowledge that some donations may be made on the specific basis of recognition of the donor.

Acceptance or rejections of donations are made in consideration with the IAHA Constitution, values and core business.

All support or donations will be receipted and donations over $2.00 are tax deductible in Australia.

Sponsorship

Are you looking to invest in supporting the current and/or next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health professionals?

You and/or your organisation may chose to:

  • Provide scholarship/s to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people studying an allied health degree (including, but not limited to such disciplines as audiology; exercise science/physiology; occupational therapy; pharmacy; psychology; social work; speech pathology, mental health, social welfare, podiatry, physiotherapy, nutrition/dietetics, radiography/sonography, orthoptics, optometry, and orthotics/prosthesis);
  • Contribute to the IAHA Bursary Scheme which has been established assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health students to purchase required text books and study supplies (value $250 per bursary); or
  • Provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health professionals to undertake ongoing professional development.

By investing in the support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health professionals and students, you contribute to building a culturally responsive health workforce and improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
