Expression of Interest – Project Officer and Allied Health Student Supervisor ,


Background

This is an Allied Health research opportunity. The focus of the research (funded by the CRCNA) is a health economic analysis of three different aged and disability service models in remote communities (eg Nhulunbuy, Weipa, Katherine). The service models are fly-in fly-out service, established allied health professional, and a student-assisted model to deliver health services.

Summary of requirement:

The incumbent will deliver adult and aged care services, and coordinate research in a remote community.

The incumbent will also supervise students from Flinders University and other universities undertaking placements within the Nhulunbuy region of the Northern Territory.

This work could be used for a Higher Research Degree (eg MPhil).

The appointee would bring an understanding of research processes, and recent and/or extensive experience and knowledge of contemporary clinical/professional practice to the position. We are seeking applicants with experience or knowledge in one of the below areas:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Speech Pathology

Appointment duration: 18 months

Appointment type: Fixed Term full time. Part-time opportunities are also available. Secondment arrangements available.
