  1. This is an identified Aboriginal position. Therefore, applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and identify and be accepted as such in their local community.   2. Certificate IV in a health or health related field will be highly regarded.
  3. Demonstrated experience in community engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of education programs, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  5. An awareness and demonstrated understanding of the historical and social issues impacting on contemporary health outcomes and health education priorities for Aboriginal people.
  6. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills including effective interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving.
  7. Demonstrated time management and organisation skills including the ability to work independently and within a team. High level of computer literacy skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of the education and training sector including adult learning and/or program development, especially in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing context.
