Senior Advisor, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy and Practice – Applications close- Wednesday 26 May 2021, at 5:00pm AEST


Speech Pathology Australia is seeking to appoint an experienced Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person as the Association’s Senior Advisor, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy and Practice.  

This is an exciting new position which will further the Association’s commitment to and objectives surrounding reconciliation and cultural responsiveness. The successful candidate will contribute an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective to inform Association functions and activities and will lead initiatives to support the provision of culturally safe speech pathology services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

The role also involves providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the profession, as well as building partnerships and connections between Speech Pathology Australia and relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.

The position is part time, up to four (4) days per week, and is a fixed term, 24-month appointment. The successful applicant may be based at National Office in Melbourne or may work remotely. Travel to National Office will be required.
