Meet Luke Hamlin
Hello beautiful people! My name is Luke Hamlin and I’m a Bundjalung man from Northern New South Wales. I’m currently employed with the Department of Health, in the COVID19 taskforce. My role with the department is working in the very challenging (but rewarding) area of rolling out the COVID19 vaccine into Indigenous communities. After being admitted as a legal practitioner in 2008, I went on to work for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander legal service, before going on to study International human rights law at Oxford University. Having completed a Master of Public Health and Tropical medicine, I went on to work in policy, public health, and epidemiology. I’m hoping to bring some of the skills I’ve amalgamated to the IAHA board.
