IAHA members and staff coordinate and participate in events each year that aim to
- strengthen and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health professionals and students and their networks;
- facilitate culturally responsive allied health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples;
- promote careers in allied health; and
- engage non-Indigenous allied health professionals, students and organisations with a view to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
For more information about recent IAHA events please contact us.
In addition to holding IAHA events, many members contribute significantly to the promotion and marketing of allied health by attending community and career promotion events across the country. IAHA thanks those members who volunteer their valuable time, knowledge, expertise and experiences to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples around the many opportunities available in allied health.
