Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) drives excellence through rigorous research that is culturally centred and prioritises advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led research that improves the health and wellbeing outcomes of communities.

By fostering research that is culturally safe and responsive, community-driven, and aligns with the values, priorities and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, IAHA seeks to ensure that health practices are grounded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems and perspectives.

IAHA through its research and knowledge agenda aim to address health inequities, enhance the capacity and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers, and contribute to evidence-based practices that respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing.

IAHA is committed to supporting the development of research that is respectful, inclusive, and collaborative, empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to lead and genuinely co-design health-related research that impacts positively in communities.
