Yarn with us and transform the system!
You are invited to participate in yarning circles for a national research project where you can share your experiences of racism whilst working in the ear and hearing health care sector.
What is the project about?
Systematically Together Overcoming Racism Model (STORM) is an Indigenous-led national research project which aims to impact change by addressing institutionalised and systemic racism that exists within ear and hearing care.
Who can take part in the yarns?
IAHA and NAATSIHWP members – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce.
What will you be asked to do?
Participate in a 1.5 hour online Community Yarning Circle, which is a culturally informed safe space where you can share your stories and experiences of racism within the Ear and Hearing Sector, contributing to solutions using a strengths-based approach. Indigenous Yarning Facilitators will use deep listening and our ways of being to develop healthy discussions amongst participants.
A $75 e-gift card will be provided for your participation.
What support is available?
Social and Emotional Wellbeing support will be provided.
Can I withdraw from the study?
Participation in this study is completely voluntary and you are under no obligation to participate. You can withdraw from the study without adverse consequences.
When will the yarns be held?
Tuesday 22 October 2024 at 11am or 2pm
Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 11am.
