2025 National Day of Recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners – Member Profile: Shaun Tatipata
Today we celebrate and honour the essential role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners in the health and wellbeing of our mob. This year’s theme, Partnering for a purpose reminds us of all about the essential role that our Health Workers and Health Practitioners play across our communities.
IAHA recognise the important relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners and allied health workforce to lead and transform the health and wellbeing of our communities every day. Many of our IAHA members either began their health careers as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers before they continued into the allied health workforce or hold dual qualifications. IAHA celebrates all our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners, and we thank you for your continued care of our families and communities.
Today we highlight the work of Shaun Tatipata – Deputy chair of NTWD Board and the first Aboriginal business owner of an Eye Health Clinic which supports both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers/Practitioners and allied health; Partnering for a Purpose
