Celebrating 2022 World Arthritis day with IAHA Member Adam Doyle, Physiotherapist.

World Arthritis day means a day for myself to reflect on what is one of if not the greatest cause of disability. It makes me reflect on my role and purpose as a Physiotherapist and my aim to improve community health and wellbeing.

Why I love to work in this area is because of the impact you can make on people’s lives. It’s extremely rewarding to be a part of someone’s journey in healthcare and provide the support and expertise required to help them achieve their goals. It’s very fulfilling when you know at the end of the day you have made a difference.

I think if I was to give anyone a tip or strategy if they ever thought of studying Physiotherapy – I would tell them to work as an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) in a hospital. It’s how I started and found my passion for helping others, it also gives you a fantastic grounding in the profession.
