COVID-19 Vaccine Workshop – Sharing Success Stories & Smashing Myths – Wednesday November 3rd
Menzies School of Health Research and Telethon Kids Institute are hosting a COVID-19 Vaccine Workshop to help promote vaccine uptake across the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia.
The workshop will be held in person at Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin on Wednesday November 3rd (with option to attend via zoom) and will provide an opportunity for people working on the ground across all aspects of the vaccine roll out (AHPs, nurses, GPs, health promotion staff) to discuss strategies and ask questions.
The Sharing Success session will include presentations from AMSANT, Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, KAMS/ WACHS/ RFDS, Danila Dilba Health Service, Mala’la Health Service, & others.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions from an expert panel in the Smashing Myths Q&A with panel members including Assoc Prof Jane Davies (Co-Director of Infectious Diseases at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals), Assoc Prof Bhavini Patel (NT Executive Vaccine Lead), Prof Peter O’Mara (Chair of RACGP Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health), Assoc Prof Margie Danchin (Group Leader Vaccine Uptake, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute) and Assoc Prof Chris Blyth (Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases, Co-Chair ATAGI)
