Support for IAHA members pre- and post- the referendum

IAHA and the Board of Directors continue to prioritise the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people following the referendum.

IAHA have been hosting a series of online yarning sessions, organised differing times and days (below) to suit the needs of the IAHA membership. IAHA acknowledge the leadership of Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia in supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and thank them for their sponsorship of IAHA’s member support yarning sessions.

The final yarning session will be:

  • Date: Wednesday 1st November
  • Time: 6pm – 8pm AEDT

This will be a safe place to talk about concerns and how to look after one another. This is not going to be a space for debate around the voice. The yarning sessions will be facilitated by two ABSTARR Consulting Well@Work practitioners – a 100% black business.  For more information or if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact ABSTARR directly via email wellbeing@abstarr.com. Additional sessions will be offered following the referendum and more details will be provided once a date has been set.

Please join us for our online yarning session(s) if you:

  •  Are an IAHA member and want to connect with other members.
  • Have had worries over the past few months.
  • Are seeking tools to support yourself and others.

Register to attend: to register please email membership@iaha.com.au with your name and the details of the session(s) you’d like to enrol in. Registrations will close 24 hours before each yarning session when the Zoom link will be sent. Please note links are single use and cannot be shared so registration is required.
